A: This team has a hardworking, blue-collar mentality.
Q: What will be the keys to your success?
A: We must stay healthy throughout the entire season.
Q: Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A: KaDarrin Ramsey (Sr., RB/DB), Jake Russell (Sr., OL/DL), TJ Sisemore (Sr., TE/DE), Bryson Smith (Sr., WR/LB), Cody Deal (Jr., OL/DL), and Jonah Hobbs (Jr., OL/LB).
Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A: These kids have worked very hard during the offseason practices and workouts. They’re also great at holding each other accountable, which makes us a stronger team in general.
Q: What will keep you up at night?
A: Watching TV.
Q: What can you build on from last year?
A: We have better leaders, and it’ll be important for us to continue to develop those skills.
Q: How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A: Overall, our team’s speed is pretty average. We might not be the fastest team, but we’re not the slowest either.
Coach’s View
Our 2016 schedule is fairly similar to last year, and we’ll be playing against some very strong teams in our region again. In order for us to be successful, we’ll have to stay healthy and avoid injuries as much as possible. It would also help to have a few breaks go our way.
