Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?
A. These are hardworking kids, and that blue collar attitude is going to help us be the best team we can be.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. Our success depends on us staying healthy.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. Josh Ibach (Sr., RB/FS), Riley Phillips (Sr., QB/WR/CB), Ethan Sandlin (Sr., OL/DE), Tanner Hoge (Jr., FB/LB), and Zane Howard (Jr., QB/CB).
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A. We have a lot of new kids this year, and there’s a ton of awesome new energy buzzing around our program!
Q. What will keep you up at night?
A. Worrying about whether or not we’re prepared
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. We’re returning several older players this season, and their experience will be vital in helping our younger players develop as well.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. Each week is a new week. How we prepare doesn’t depend on last week’s result or this week’s opponent.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. Our overall team speed is average. We’ll have to rely on our vision and ability to make cuts.
We should be able to compete week to week with this year’s schedule. New teams on the slate are Concord Christian, Jellico, Oakdale, and Sunbright. We look forward to the opportunity to get to go out and compete every Friday night!
