Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?
A. Exciting. We have a lot of experience at the skill positions. We have a lot of speed, so every play could be very exciting.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. How well our offensive and defensive lines play.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. Markeith Montgomery (Sr., RB/DB) and Jalyn Shelton (Sr., RB).
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A. Experience returning from last year in skill positions.
Q. What will keep you up at night?
A. Inexperience on offensive line.
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. We were region champions, so we want to defend that title and win more games in the playoffs.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. We learned what the competition was like last year at the state level. We must work to reach that same level.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
A. Three-man front.
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. Our overall team speed will be an advantage.
We have a tough schedule with three playoff teams early on, and two that made it to the final four in their classifications. Our region keeps getting better and better every year, too. It will be tough, but we expect to compete for the regional championship.
