Coach Al Rogers

Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?

A. Defensively, we are very experienced. We only lost two starters. Offensively, we will be inexperienced but gritty and eager to play this great game.

Q. What will be the keys to your success?

A. Replacing seniors’ experience on the offensive side of the ball.

SB.StatsQ. Who will be your key leaders on the team?

A. Cade Meadows (Sr., RB/LB), Collin Lovell (Sr., QB/DB), Reece Hall (Sr., K/LB), Trent Gibson (Sr., OL/DL), Jared Mace (Sr., OL/DL), Dylan Bryant (Sr., RB/LB), and Elijah Irwin (Sr., RB/DB).

Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?

A. Tough, gritty young men who love football.

Q. What will keep you up at night?

A.  Depth.

Q. What can you build on from last year?

A. Last year’s great senior class taught leadership and toughness to this year’s group of upcoming seniors.

Q. Will we see anything different this year?

A. You never know.

Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?

A. Average team speed. No advantages.

Coach’s View
Since we are moving to DII, we will have our work cut out for us. Not only will most of the schools in our division be bigger than us, but we know we will be playing against teams that can provide financial assistance to players. I believe we will surprise a lot of people this year as we did last year. These young men are tough, tenacious, and have a great work ethic. I am truly blessed to coach young men who love the Lord and each other.
