Q: How would you characterize this year’s team?
A: We’ve got good experience, with 15 seniors.
Q: What will be the keys to your success?
A: Developing our depth and avoiding injuries to our key players.
Q: Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A: Joseph Lilly (Sr., RB/DB), Hogan Holland (Sr., QB/DB), Drew Daniels (Sr., OL/DE), Mitch Butner (Sr., OL/DT), and Kyree Pryor (Sr., RB/DB).
Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A: We’re an experienced team and had a very good offseason in the weight room.
Q: What will keep you up at night?
A: Just making sure we’re prepared.
Q: What can you build on from last year?
A: We got a taste of success last year, and now we want more.
Q: Any lessons learned from last year?
A: Learning to play complete games against quality competition.
Q: Will we see anything different this year?
Q: How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A: As a team, our speed is definitely above average, but we can always be faster.
As always, our schedule is very demanding, but we look forward to anything that can strengthen us as a team. The schedule is especially challenging in our nonregion games against the likes of Marion County, Sequatchie County, and Boyd-Buchanan.
