A. A team that is eager to put the disappointments of last year’s finish behind them.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. Avoiding injuries and finding depth in the trenches.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. Gabriel Stulce (RB/CB), Isaiah Golonka (TE/DT), Noah Martin (RB/LB), Seth Johnson (OL/DL), Daniel Oliver (OL/DL), and Riley Jenne (WR/FS).
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A. Strong leadership in the rising senior class.
Q. What will keep you up at night?
A. Playing in a league where there are no inferior opponents.
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. There is no substitute for hard work, discipline, and commitment.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. What you did yesterday is over and gone. Your actions today are the most important.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
A. No changes.
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. Team speed overall will be average. Our numbers in the weight room show gains in overall team strength.
I think it will be important for us to start fast this season to gain confidence in ourselves and to begin to build momentum going into our tough region. We have started our last two seasons losing three of our first four games. Maturity and experience should give us the edge we need. We return seven starters on defense and have five returning players on the OL who all started at some point last season.
