A. A very experienced team that is hungry.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. Kids and coaches adapting to each other and learning a new offense and defense.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. Jaheim Jones (Sr., LB), Michael McGhee (Sr., LB), Wyatt Garrett (Sr., DL), Hunter Jones (Jr.,LB), Jacobi Witcher (Sr., DB), Tracy Odom (Sr., DB), and Jachorri Ray (Sr., LB).
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A. large senior class.
Q. What will keep you up at night?
A. The transition from last year.
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. The fact that they learned how to put themselves into a position to win.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. We need to get more people involved in key roles on the team.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
A. You will see a new offense/defense/special teams.
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. We have excellent team speed at all positions.
Coach’s View
We look forward to building off of the strides made in 2017. We have raised the level of expectation at every position, and I look forward to watching the kids grow and achieve at a higher level. Our goal is to exceed last year’s success.
