A: This year’s team will be smaller and quicker than last season.

A: Remaining healthy and solidifying the offensive and defensive lines.

A: Austin Long (Sr., WR/DB), Cody Baker (Sr., RB/LB), Hunter Ciesa (Sr., RB/LB), Darius Smith (Sr., WR/LB), Bryson Whitmore (Sr., WR/LB), Gavin Steele (Sr., QB), and Ryan Ray (Sr., WR/DB).
Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A: The fact that the players have been in the system for two years now.
Q: What will keep you up at night?
A: Our youth and lack of size.
Q: What can you build on from last year?
A: We can build on the wins from last year and become more competitive.
Q: Any lessons learned from last year?
A: We learned that we need to find more depth.
Q: Will we see anything different this year?
A: There will be a few new wrinkles on offense and defense.
Q: How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A: Our team will be a little quicker than last year, but we’ll be smaller, too, and that’s a scary thought.
Coach’s View
We’ve added a few new teams to this year’s schedule. Our success will hinge on how quickly our young guys gel and how healthy we stay. We have some good players, and if we gel as a team, we can surprise some people this year.
