Q: How would you characterize this year’s team?
A: We have a good mixture of veteran players and youth who need to develop.
Q: What will be the keys to your success?
A: Remain healthy, play disciplined football, and keep working hard to get where we want to be.
Q: Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A: Jalen Ellis (RB/LB), TJ Holmes (RB/DB), Peyton Livingston (TE/DL), Marquell Sails (RB/DB), Javonte Pullom (RB/LB), Jermaine Blackstock (RB/LB), Cadion Harris (WR/DB), Cayden McCrary (OL/DL), Justin Ellis (OL/LB), Dylan Draughon (OL/LB), and Isaac Scott (OL/DL).
Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A: We had a ton of guys play varsity last year. We have had a good off-season. Our guys seem to carry themselves with a different attitude and are being coachable.
Q: What will keep you up at night?
A: Our low numbers and tough schedule.
Q: What can you build on from last year?
A: We gained valuable playing experience with younger guys that should help us out.
Q: Any lessons learned from last year?
A: We needed to develop more depth, even though our numbers were low.
Q: How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A: We have good overall team speed. Hope it makes up for lack of size.
