Q: How would you characterize this year’s team?
A: Hungry.
Q: What will be the keys to your success?
A: Staying healthy.
Q: Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A: Jacob Winchester (RB/LB), Blake Ferguson (QB/LB), Jaxon Quails (RB/LB), and Hayden Landreth (OL/DL).
Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A: A lot of guys got experience due to injuries last year. That will give us a more experienced roster than last year.
Q: What will keep you up at night?
A: Depth and injuries.
Q: What can you build on from last year?
A: We showed a lot of growth in certain aspects of the program last year despite a lot of adversity and injuries.
Q: Any lessons learned from last year?
A: Make sure you have four backup quarterbacks.
Q: Will we see anything different this year?
A: Not really.
Q: How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A: Team speed is average for 1A.
