Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?
A. A workman’s attitude combined with a good off-season. Willing to do the dirty work to be successful.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. Developing an offensive identity. Good secondary play.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. Defensive front seven.
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A. Off-season team growth.
Q. What will keep you up at night?
A. Offensive development at the skill positions. Five out of six are brand-new starters.
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. Making the playoffs for the most consecutive years in school history.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. Two straight years of dealing with an immense amount of injuries means the next man better be ready to play.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
A. Offense will be given more looks in formations and approaches. Different approaches
in the secondary.
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. We will try to utilize the speed we have to best benefit our team.
We have some difficult games to play against teams who have returned a lot of starters, whereas we have twelve new starters to develop. If we are successful, we will coach the players hard and our players will play hard. Staying free from injury will assist our chances.
