Q: How would you characterize this year’s team?
A: We’re experienced, tough, and gritty.
Q: What will be the keys to your success?
A: Staying injury-free.
Q: Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A: We expect all of our seniors to be leaders this year.
Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A: The Seahawks are a great group of young men who have worked very hard in the offseason.
Q: What will keep you up at night?
A: Worrying about depth, injuries, and the safety and health of these young men.
Q: What can you build on from last year?
A: We have a lot of starters returning with good experience.
Q: Any lessons learned from last year?
A: We have some young players who will get after the ball and play hard.
Q: Will we see anything different this year?
A: We have a little more depth at the skill positions, so we hope to rotate and rest players more frequently.
Q: How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A: I believe we are slightly above average in speed.
Coach’s View
I’m undeserving and feel very blessed to get to coach such a fine group of young men. They’re tenacious workers who are selfless on and off the field. They truly care about their football brothers. Therefore, I believe this team will surprise many with their success this season.
