Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?
A. This year’s team is hardworking, energetic, determined, and super focused.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. The key to our success is mental toughness and togetherness.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. We will need our offensive line to lead the team.
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A. All these players have strong work ethics – that’ll carry us a long way.
Q. What will keep you up at night?
A. Strength of schedule during the first few games.
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. We can build more on our team unity and be more focused.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. High character is more important than talent.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
A. We will bring a more physical offensive running game. Defensively, we’ll focus on speed, fast play, and rightness. On special teams, we have a plan to play wide open.
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. Our overall team speed is average, but we are doing everything in our power to improve that.
Coach’s View
While we do have a tough schedule, we have the ability to compete every Friday night. Our success depends on how we handle adversity early in the season.
