Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?
A. Young.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. We will need to grow up fast.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. Our four seniors: Tillman Smith (WR/LB), Austin Starr (OL/DL), Justin Carter (RB/S), and Will Lehman (WR/DB).
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
Q. A. We have great young men who work hard.
Q. What will keep you up at night?
A. Depth of our team, and having such a small enrollment is always a concern.
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. Making it to the quarterfinals was a great experience for our younger players.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. We have to be ready every Friday night and not look past any opponent.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
A. We always evaluate our players and make that determination as we move through practice.
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. We are not a fast team; we will need to rely on being in the right place at the right time.
Coach’s View
We must expect excellence in everything we do if we hope to be successful. Preparation will be the key, along with great effort.
