Q: How would you characterize this year’s team?
A: Experienced. We have 19 of 22 returning starters on offense and defense, plus our kicker and punter.
Q: What will be the keys to your success?
A: We need to create some success early and build on that momentum as the season progresses.
Q: Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A: Donovan Smith (WR/DB), Mike Watson (RB/LB), Noah Collins (WR/DB), Demetrio Dominguez (OL/DL), and Reggie Wadley (RB/LB).
Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A: The growth that we have made as a team over the last two football seasons.
Q: What will keep you up at night?
A: Focusing on our team to make sure we are not beating ourselves.
Q: What can you build on from last year?
A: The growth we made as a program.
Q: Any lessons learned from last year?
A: Coach ‘em hard and love ‘em hard!
Q: Will we see anything different this year?
A: We will be about the same, scheme-wise.
Q: How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A: Better than average.
