A: We’ll have a big, physical team in 2022. We should lean on our experience with 18 returning starters and several new players who will make big impacts.
A: Creating a great team chemistry, as well as blending the largest senior class in school history with a group of very talented sophomores and juniors.
A: Daniel Geil (OL/DL), Eli Thomason (RB/LB), Carter Triplett (QB), Jaylon Gay (RB/LB), Tanner Hartley (OL/DL), and Wyatt Brumlow (WR/DB).
A: Our size, an All-State defensive player in Geil, a big, athletic quarterback in Triplett, and a stable of running backs in Thomason, Gay, Wooten, and Christopher, and an all-region kicker in Russell.
A: Last year, we led in the fourth quarter in six of our seven losses, so we feel like our season could have been completely different. Returning 18 starters who have been through that should help as we learn how to finish games.
A: After three fabulous years that produced 27 wins, the football took some crazy bounces that went against us last year. We learned to deal with adversity and to hang together in tough moments. Our team chemistry will be very good.
A: We’ll have better-than-average team speed. Our running backs are big, fast players and should be the strength of our squad.

I’m proud of this senior group, as we’ve been together for a long time and it’s now their turn to step up. We have a lot of young talent and could start seven sophomores and five juniors in our lineup. Blending the old with the young will be key to our team chemistry. Expectations are high to return to the playoffs for the fifth straight year.
