Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?
A. We have a very solid senior class, and they will play a huge role in the level of success we have.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. How quickly we adjust to a new philosophy and what type of attitude and effort we bring to our summer program. Also, how healthy we can be.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. Zach Turner (TE/LB), Parker Chastain (RB/LB), Austin Allen (OL/LB), Jeffrey Perez (RB/DB), and Robert Flowers (WR/LB).
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A. A strong senior class that is hungry to restore tradition.
Q. What will keep you up at night?
A. Everythng.
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. This is my first year at Cleveland.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. We now have a better understanding of our region opponents.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
A. We will be a little different from an offensive standpoint.
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. I would say we have some guys with speed at some of our skill positions.
Coach’s View
I’ve been here since February 20, and I would say that first and foremost our returning players have made great strides in the weight room – hopefully we can transfer that to the field. I’d like to see some of our younger guys develop into productive players over the course of this season.
