Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?
A. The 2018 East Hamilton football team will be young in some areas such as offensive line, but some very talented experience returns in the backfield, secondary, and linebacker corps.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. Eliminating mistakes and growing up fast. Increasing football knowledge and applying that to the game.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. Harrison Davis (Sr., OL/DL) is a senior leader, along with Adam Caudle (Jr., RB/LB), Sam Randolph (Jr., RB/DB), Logan Galloway (Sr., OL/LB), Jaxon Knight (Sr., WR/LB), Aidan Holt (Jr., RB/LB), Cade Meeks (Jr., QB/DB), and Marko Dozier (Sr., RB/DB).
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A. The team has worked hard in the off-season and is coming off of a very effective spring practice.
Q. What will keep you up at night?
A. A tough schedule and depth.
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. We get a chance for a fresh start.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. Turnovers, penalties, and mental mistakes are hard to overcome.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
A. J. D. Dunbar will be the new defensive co-coordinator.
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. I feel very good about team speed in the skill position areas.
We are working to develop young talent to blend with a hardworking senior class.
