Grace Baptist Academy

Coach Bob Ateca

Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?

A. Experienced. We have a large group of seniors who have played a significant number of minutes in the past.

Q. What will be the keys to your success?

A. Staying healthy. Depth is always a concern for a single A team.

Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?

A. Cade Tinsley (Sr., QB/S), Matt Lindon (Sr., OL/DL), and Noah Gray (Sr., WR/DB).

Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?

A. Players with great attitudes and strong work ethics.

Q. What will keep you up at night?

A.  Depth chart. With a small roster, it is always difficult to fill all the positions on offense, defense, and special teams.

Q. What can you build on from last year?

A. This will be our second year in this division and region, so knowing the teams will help.

Q. Any lessons learned from last year?

A. We will need to expect anything. Teams’ film did not always indicate how they would attack us.

Q. Will we see anything different this year?

A. We plan to stay close to what we have done in the past.

Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?

A. We are not a team with a lot of speed. We will need to be great technicians who are solid in their responsibilities.

Coach’s View

We hope to capitalize on our senior-heavy team. They have contributed to our team over the past several years, with some of them seeing playing time as freshmen. With this type of experience, we hope to grow on and off the field.
