Q&A with Coach John Bryan

Coach Bryan
Q. HOW WOULD YOU CHARACTERIZE THIS YEAR’S TEAM?
A. We lost 20 seniors last year. This team will be inexperienced in most areas, but we should have around 14 seniors in the program, and we have three returning all-region players.
Q. WHAT WILL BE THE KEYS TO YOUR SUCCESS?
A. Avoiding injury – depth is a concern – and gaining needed experience in skill positions.
Q. WHO WILL BE YOUR KEY LEADERS ON THE TEAM?
A. Khris Lewis, Jonas Watkins, Rayshawn Toliver, Adrian DeVille, and Caleb Underwood.
Q. WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST REASONS FOR OPTIMISM?
A. Our team has been to the state playoffs two years in a row and knows how to compete.
Q. WHAT WILL KEEP YOU UP AT NIGHT?
A. Lack of experience and game reps in all offensive skill positions..
Q. WHAT CAN YOU BUILD ON FROM LAST YEAR?
A. Our team experienced a good deal of success in 2025. We made the playoffs as highest at large seed with a home playoff game.
Q. WILL WE SEE ANYTHING DIFFERENT THIS YEAR?
A. We will run the same base offense and defense, but will adjust some things as needed due to so many new players in skill positions.
Q. HOW WOULD YOU CHARACTERIZE YOUR TEAM’S SPEED?
A. Good.
