Coach Chad Grabowski

Q: How would you characterize this year’s team?

A: Young, but hardworking. These players refuse to accept failure as an option.

Q: What will be the keys to your success?

A: How well the offense can work together and overcome their youth.

Q: Who will be your key leaders on the team?

A: Calvin Jackson (So., QB), Zay Brown (Jr., RB/DB), Screen Shot 2016-08-25 at 11.41.41 AMKedric Richardson (Jr., RB/LB), Mike Clark (Sr., WR/CB), and Courvoisier Bell (Sr., LB).

Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?

A: Our newer players will respond well after gaining some on-field experience last season.

Q: What will keep you up at night?

A: Our youth and lack of experience.

Q: What can you build on from last year?

A: We played a lot of freshmen and sophomores, so we want to continue to develop their skills and understanding of the game.

Q: Any lessons learned from last year?

A: Red Bank football players never give up, even at the end of the game.

Q: How would you characterize your team’s speed?

A: We have good team speed, but we need to be able to neutralize other teams’ speed to be successful.

Coach’s View

We played the seventh-toughest schedule in the state last year. The young guys learned a lot and saw what it takes to reach the same caliber of skill displayed by state-ranked football teams. Having players who can recognize and work toward that will be a huge advantage for us in the future.
