Q: How would you characterize this year’s team?

A: Young, athletic, and eager.

Q: What will be the keys to your success?

A: Staying healthy. Our younger players will have to mature quickly.

Q: Who will be your key leaders on the team?

A: Ty Gilbert (WR/DB), Ross Norman (WR/DB), Gage Keener (WR/DB), Peyton Williams (RB/DB), Riley Broome (TE/DL), Nik Saloney (WR/DB), Jacob Garnica (WR/DB), Beau Boozer (S/DL), Trent Baldwin (WR/LB), Bryson Bethune (WR/DB), Elijah Eaker (RB/LB), Brady Gray (OL/DL), Jonathan Runyon (OL/DL), Clint Carlock (OL/DL), Myles Hudson (OL/DL), and Jaden Parks (OL/DL).

Q: What are your biggest reasons for optimism?

A: Our kids are wanting to step up and compete for different spots. We have made great strides in the weight room. The leadership and competitiveness we have developed through the weight room should transition to the field.

Q: What can you build on from last year?

A: Our younger guys learned how to compete and how to fight against adverse conditions from last year’s group of seniors.

Q: Any lessons learned from last year?

A: Injury prevention later in the season.

Q: Will we see anything different this year?

A: We will be very similar on both sides of the ball.

Q: How would you characterize your team’s speed?

A: Overall, we have an athletic football team. We will see speed in Peyton Williams, Kishaun Taylor, Trey Akins, Ty Gilbert, Brayden Boyd, Ross Norman, Jacob Garnica, and Bryson Bethune.

Coach’s View

We will see a few new faces in region 6-AAA and during our regular season. If we can mature mentally and athletically, we could see much success. We are very excited to see how much our players have learned about leadership and competing this off-season.
