Q. How would you characterize this year’s team?
A. Extremely talented and very experienced.
Q. What will be the keys to your success?
A. We must continue to work to improve our team discipline and learn to finish games.
Q. Who will be your key leaders on the team?
A. Cole Kibler (Sr., QB), Andre Tarver (Sr., WR/OLB), Blake Goldsmith (Sr., WR/DB), Pete Brower (Sr., WR/OLB), Reid Williams (Jr., OL/DL), Cade Nayadley (Sr., OL/DL), Dalton Green (Sr., RB/LB), Brayden Broome (Jr., WR/DB), and Dylan Wright (Jr., WR/DB).
Q. What are your biggest reasons for optimism?
A. This team will not be satisfied with mediocrity.
Q. What can you build on from last year?
A. Hopefully we will learn from our mistakes.
Q. Any lessons learned from last year?
A. Finishing out close games and committing to improving our team’s culture year-round.
Q. Will we see anything different this year?
Q. How would you characterize your team’s speed?
A. Team speed overall is excellent, from skill players to the linemen. We feel as if our WRs are exceptional with Andre Tarver, Pete Brower, Jared Dunn, Dylan Wright, Brayden Broome, Blake Goldsmith, and Malachi Hill.
Our schedule is again very challenging. Opening with scrimmages against athletic, physical, and well-coached teams like Notre Dame and Ridgeland will hopefully prepare us for our difficult opener at Dalton. We also play a very strong Heritage program in non-region play. Region-wise we host Calhoun, North Murray, and Adairsville. Road trips to LFO and Sonoraville will also be a challenge. We are talented enough to win a lot of football games, but our kids have to continue to learn and respond to adversity.
